Realtors! How to convert a sit down desk to a stand up desk!
This project has consumed me for a couple of weeks. I have been rattling on about it.
Now I peer out the window anxiously awaiting the FedX and UPS delivery.
For this 5'5" Realtor, think twelve inches for the sit down to stand up desk conversion.
That is the magic number.
Put a twelve inch step stool or footstool on a thirty inch high desk or table and PRESTO you are now working at a stand up desk. And burning more calories doing so!
Think....a footstool or step stool stays on the floor, right?
Yeah, right! Until you need to stand because you have been sitting way, way too long.
One minute and one hand later, you can stand and never even break your train of thought in a phone conversation.
A countertop? Six inches gets you to the 43 inch height that makes your arms comfortable. Think antique coke boxes or exercise step benches. 24 inches by 12 by 12 allows space for a laptop plus iPad.
Cost? Just google footstool or step stool or riser or step bench and surf away. Or check out Etsy and The Find apps. The furniture pieces are $40-100 and can be shipped to your door in days. I went through page after page of google images to select a few Amish and Oak pieces. Several were in stock but several are still being handmade.
Not only will this grocery cart get the good health seal of approval but so will my BURN more calorie and stand, stretch, stand up again, sit down again then move all around seating, or shall I call it "stand up" seating arrangement.
You can even do some step exercises if the music or the moment moves you!
One step stool or footstool is under each laptop and Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner plus one is accessible for the table and one rests by the recliner.
