The North Beach Polar Bear Swim starts at 1PM at the North Beach Maryland Waterfront between Bay Avenue and 5th Street. You can call Town Hall for additional information at 301-855-6681. All ages and sizes and shapes welcome.

What are that Blue Box in the Safeway Parking Lot in Dunkirk MD?

What is the Blue Box in the Safeway Parking Lot in Dunkirk MD?  Reading Tree Books for Charity has located a Blue Children's Books Donation Receptacle in the Dunkirk, MD Safeway parking lot in Southern Maryland. This charity, which began as Hands Across the Water, now donates over half of the books to schools in the United States. So far, this charity has donated over 1.7 Million books to needy schools and charities. Reading Tree receives most of it's funding through corporate gifts and cash donations.

Why is the Blue Box in the Safeway Parking Lot in Dunkirk,  MD so important? It reduces landfill excess and provides a solution for  children's book shortages in needy areas. Books that cannot be donated are sent to commercial recycling partners. Books that are not suitable for children are sent overseas.

Reading Tree is located in Farminton, Utah, but it's boxes are across the country. And it's reach is global. Plus now there's a Reading Tree Blue Box in Southern Maryland!

Reading Books supports children's literacy by getting books in the hands of children! You can host a book Drive, donate to the box, donate by cash, or encourage book donation participation at our local Safeway Blue Box in Southern Maryland.

Re-BuildUSA Designation 203k FHA Loan Program Completed...here's an overview....

I completed the Re-BuildUSA Designation 203k FHA Loan Program today...Here's an overview....It takes about 6 hours or more to complete the new www.RebuildUSA.com class. The class was just introduced after Thanksgiving as a way to prepare agents on how to work with the 203K streamline vs regular loans. There are lots of good forms and charts to use. I liked the timelines and the comprehensive, clear explantion of the 203k program.

 

The Re-BuildUSA Designation 203k FHA Loan Program  is just in time for Spring Sales and an abundance of housing inventory that could use a fix up loan. Lowes is a parter involved in making the process flow smoothly.

Is Your Real Estate Business Prepared For Google Search Changes?

Have you been paying attention to the changes in the search engine space? Are you ready for these changes? On Monday, Google unveiled its real-time search features. One of the features of this real-time search will be a dynamic scrolling view of updates from Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and other sources. Watch the Google video of how this works:




Google's real-time results are also pulling in other data, which includes latest updates from blogs, videos, news sites, and even images. The screen shot below shows a search on "Tiger Woods" and how some of these sources are mixed directly in on the first page of Google's search results.

Google Search Changes
If you market your Real Estate business online, you need to be aware of these changes and consider creating videos, optimize images in your content, participate in blogging, and participate in real-time social networks to stay on top.
