A Charmed Day on the Eastern Shore with my Folks...I live on the Western Shore of Maryland, but just a few hours away and across the Chesapeake Beay Bridge, I love to take a day and visit the Eastern Shore in Maryland. There is the Ocean and all the Outlets and Restaurants in between. It is a shopping and scenic delight.
The scenery is breathtaking the whole way over. There's water and boats and wildlife. It is simply gorgeous. Plus the route is dotted with cool restaurants like Starbucks in Annapolis for Coffie and Great Harvest Bread on Ridgely in Annapolis for homemade treats. Then there's the citrus salmon salad at Fishermen's Inn which can be ordered to go.
Queenstown Outlets have my favorite Coach and Eddie Bauer stores. Then, my favorite Talbots is in Easton. Then you cross over to hit 404 again and it's not too far to the Big McDonalds with the great iced tea.
Who can beat Thrasher's French Fries in Rehoboth or Grotto's Pizza on the Boardwalk? A fun stop on the way home is either Nick's for Ribs...or if it is election year, the Paddleboat Cruise at Suicide Bridge is where I am to be found.
It's a great get away jaunt on the Maryland Eastern Shore. The folks loved it and Riley Rover loved his prime rib leftovers for guarding Mosquito Gulch all day. I even found a hot air popcorn popper that I had been wanting for months so it was a charmed holiday over the Bay Bridge.
