A Southern Maryland Realtor Chapter Favorite for Soci@l

When you learn about the DISC personality profiles that Starpower frequently discusses, it's quick to spot a D or bottom line personality type with a lot of C or control and data tendencies thrown in the mix. So it is no wonder that I like the last chapter of the book. I gravitate toward the reader's digest version. The meat and potatoes, or the crib notes, are always my favorites. So here you go. These are the pearls of the book Soci@l.

My Niece and one of my best buds are turtle nuts. A good percentage of both their Facebook posts are stories or videos about turtles. I think it stemmed from the Fourth of July turtle races for my Niece. My friend, Agent A, on the other hand, has some turtles that nest on her property so it has become a big concern to her that they are protected. Anyway, a chapter that uses a story about turtles fits easily in my comfort zone. The point is that a turtle does not have momentum unless the turtle sticks its neck out. Just like Realtors in implementing Social Media. Some of the best success stories are when a market is down not up. So get your neck out and stretch and get up! You can do it!

What are more gems in the last chapter? The cost of doing nothing is just way too high. Check out the Socialnomics videos on youtube if you have not seen them yet to grasp the power of social networking. Social Media is here to stay. Social Media is a fundamental shift in the way we communicate. The world is our oyster. What matters is the quality of our relationships not the money invested. All these concepts really resonated with me.

The seven point challenge to wrap up the points in the book are, in their words and mine:

1. Create your brand and identify your niches...i.e. do it your way

2. Become the expert of your niche....be the big wig...

3. Create an audience large enough to support your real estate

business goals at whatever level you choose....go for it...

4. Time block your social media campaign into your weekly

schedule...treat it as important as it really is...

5. Consistently interact with your audience and track your results...work it!

6. If you need more business or faster results, implement one of the

advertising programs discussed in the book...work it even more...

7. Implement a lead conversion plan like the 10 Days of Pain...Leads, leads, leads..obtain Southern Md Leads!
