De Cluttering is like a GOOD Baseball Card Swap!
I have been a woman on a Mission. I have de cluttered and cleaned and purged and straightened and brought back law and order to Mosquito Gulch this past month.
But this process is a PROCESS not an event. So I realize there may be one more layer.
So another life long pal is coming over tomorrow for what I call Free Flea. It's an hour or so where I open up my closets and drawers and cabinets and point to what I have not used and PRESTO...no packing, hauling, planning, or yard sale preparation.
I get joy out of my friends enjoying stuff that was simply collecting dust. I am talking stuff that has not seen the light of day by the Chesapeake Bay in way, way too long!
I actually checked in today on the stories of the dozen jackets I gave away recently. Two different friends acquired these one size too small jackets. They have been to DC, Baltimore, job interviews, work, and you name it. They have gotten compliments galore. Now isn't that better than moth ball duty?
Anyway, my Dad always says that this one particular friend of mine always has the best Baseball Card swaps with me. We trade and share all kinds of stuff. Tomorrow she is in for a real treat. She gets to roam through my Rubbermaid Totes and pick out which movies and books she has not borrowed yet. Then she gets to comb my new K Cup Keurig boxes and select a bunch of samples so she does not have to buy all the boxes I had to purchase to get a taste of this and that. And you better believe I am going to remind her that I have not gotten any of her makeup cosmetic bags in quite a while. After all, a good Baseball Card Swap is a good Baseball Card swap.
