The IPad is my top Realtor Best Practice for 2011 hands down. It is the Guttenberg Printing Press Innovation of my Realtor World.
Next on the list and a very close second for a 2011 Best Realtor Practice is to utilize the resource of Active Rain for new tech tool information to incorporate in to my Real Estate Business. I watch the Realtor Tech Tool topic like a hawk so I love it when I find a tool on Active Rain that I have missed through other sources.
Here are five Realtor Tech Tools that I read about and learned about on Active Rain. More important, these are the ones I have implemented .
SendOutCards.com was a Featured Post a while back. I finally decided to give it a whirl. They have a new pricing plan that is roughly ten dollars a month plus there are many other options. What is razzle dazzle is that the Card Program allows you to create a tri fold glossy attractive card stock product along the quality lines of Express Copy. They stamp, print and send. You can attach a Starbucks Gift Card or a bunch of other gift card or product selections. You can select photos from your hard drive or from the recipient's Facebook page to really, really make the card special. I just sent out three Thank You cards and a Graduation Card. On the card to the Seller I had photos of the home they sold plus a QR Code to their Hi Def HDHAT.com home video. On the back of the card had my website, logo, phone number and email address. Think they will keep it? Yep! Plus, if you are not farming your friends and family, who is? The other cards had the same information on the back but the QR code led to a YouTube Video of Riley Rover doing his Garden Hose Dance of Joy. Okay, you can peek here for a BIG smile. http://activerain.com/blogsview/2404206/what-simple-things-at-home-bring-you-joy
Carbonite was a comment an agent left on one of my posts. I had never heard of it until that point. As the Queen of Crash, I dashed over to check it out. For under $60/ year, you can back up your whole computer off site. It is one of many plans you should use but for this price, go for it. Bet part of all, while I am off site, I can retrieve a document off my computer from the Carbonite site. ALL RIGHT!!!!!
Brad Andersohn's Top 100 Slideshare Presentation came through as an RSS Feed . I inhaled it. I immersed myself in it. This is the big Reader's Digest of the tech tools you should be using in your Real Estate Business. One by one, go through them and pick the winners you will use. Go ahead, check this out as one of my favorties at http://www.slideshare.net/goldenresults
Craig Daniels Tech Tip Newsletters come through because I subscribe to him. Craig's tips are timely and helpful and easy to understand. When you are in a tech jam, he seems to show up with the answer just when Riley Rover has heard enough fussing and cussing. Yep, I do it. too. Visit http://activerain.com/craigda
Apps, apps, and more apps. I cruise the Active Rain Channel and look up iPAD and iPhone and then read the posts. I join the groups. I started a group. This is like fun SPORT to me so I love the game of discovering the best apps. I also read lists anywhere I can find them about this tech person's favorite apps or that person's most used app. What I like about the Active Rain posts are that the bloggers mention HOW and WHY they work for a Realtor Business.
Okay, those are the top five Tech Tool Sources and Tool Leads and products I have discovered via Active Rain. So let me give you the Golden Results you deserve and list my top ten favorite Realtor Tech Tools that I use now. I am doing this off the top of my head so play some rock and roll to dance through these! I did not discover these via Active Rain but come back again and you will hear me discuss them on Active Rain. I post in two groups called iPAD Realtor Apps and Tech Tool Realtor Review. Visit them at http://activerain.com/groups/TechToolRealtorReview or http://activerain.com/groups/iPADRealtorApps
