"Good Eats" in or near Southern Maryland. I saw a Newspaper briefly today with that heading and thought what a great blog post. So let me do my rendition because when a new family moves here particulalry from another state, that is definitely one of the hot topics in my Jeep.
"Good Eats" in or near Southern Maryland has to start with crabcakes because we are talking Southern Maryland. I pick up a crab cake to go at Stoney's in Prince Frederick, MD. It's just part of the normal routine. I also like to bop in Bob Evans and get their Cobb Salad on the run. Panera tea and Starbucks coffee are almost daily rituals. So much so that the last few snow days Riley Rover has stayed by the door fruitlessly waiting our afternoon romp. Snow or no snow, he thinks it is time to go.

Oh my gosh, when you read the newspapers on the wall about service men who have it flown in to their next duty station, there is no reason to ask why. "Good Eats" in or near Southern Maryland also includes an hour ride to Ann's outside of Marley Station off Ritchie Highway for a footlong hot dog with everything on it and a vanilla shake. There is always, always a line. A big line. And you are happy to stand in it to get their foot longs. What is amazing is that year after year, line after line, waitress after waitres, noone ever writes the orders down. It is fascinating to watch the entire spectacle.
"Good Eats" in or near Southern Maryland also includes Abners for Crabs and Rod n Reel Sunday Breakfast Buffet which are both in Chesapeake Beach. You can tell where I live! Also, I have to run to Chilis in Annapolis for fajitas now and then just to get that out of my system.
Wait long enough and you will see me at any of these places. Riley Rover will be guarding the Jeep. Give him a pat on the head. He works hard.
