Have you picked up the phone and called an Active Rain Blogger Today?
I saw a post yesterday by Sheldon Neal on the Featured Blog Front Page of Active Rain. I comment now and then to him but have never met him, never talked with him, never emailed him, never seen him, never. Nope, never anything.
He wrote a post about Breast Cancer a year or so ago that is seared in my brain. Nothing about real estate, just a post about his Mum. Of all his super duper posts, this is the one I think of when I see his name and the British Agent theme.
So he posted a video about White Boards, I loved it, I reblogged it, and while checking it out on my blog I explored his blog.
Then I realized I wanted to know a few things and how he did them. And it was fresh on my mind that I had spent a good chunk of time yesterday setting up a campaign on Plaxo and now on Constant Contact to promote my Saturday Oct. 1 Susan G. Komen Beach Walk in Southern Maryland from 7:30 to 10AM with the $25 entry fees all going to Komen!
I'm a give as good as I get person. I figured I'd mention my recent discoveries like www.follr.me/GoldenResults which is a Social Digital Business Card I use on my iPAD and iPhone. Or I would mention my new Real Bird MOBILE website called www.SouthernMaryland.RealBird.com which enables consumers to see a user friendly website on their smart phone via a QR code on your sign. I rattle on about this stuff on my Active Rain Blog.
But I didn't expect what happened. I said my name and was about to say, " I am a RE/MAX 100 Agent from Southern Maryland who blogs on Active Rain and needs a few blogs written by him ( bossy, huh?) to explain some cool stuff he did on his blog." But before I could get any of that mouthful out, after I said my name, he interjected, "Oh, you're the agent with the Golden Retrievers on your Blog."
So Riley Rover gets extra chicken chews tonight, Sheldon Neal got some cool tech tool ideas that I also just shared with you, I am getting some blog posts from him that will be shared with all of us, the Komen Beach Walk Brainstorm of mine October 1, 2011 is going to get some extra NJ Press, and the Active Rain Blogosphere is officially anointed a COOL place.
I can't believe he knew right off just who I was. IMAGINE.... Active Rain Blogging can do that for your clients in your area, too, that are searching for an agent. Just Imagine.
Craig Daniels, forewarned is forearmed. I just may pick up that phone one day and thank you for all your cool tech posts on Active Rain. And Martha Brown, I will put a call in when I know of the NEXT Golden Retriever Puppy Litter. And Wallace Gibson, how do you respond to all my posts so quickly?
