I have had my Carole King James Taylor Moment so let me share it...
Carole King gave, let me repeat, gave James Taylor the "You've Got a Friend Song." Little did he know he would be singing it every night the rest of his life is one of his quips.
So when I saw Steve Bachman's, of Steve and Jan Bachman aka RE/MAX Agents in Northern Viriginia, Facebook entry today I stopped dead in my tracks. I am sure he also stopped dead in his tracks with camera luckily in hand to take these snapshots.
I began my inquiry with you know Carole King gave JT the Friends song. Then I led into I wanted to use his Facebook photos in my AR post.
Let me back up on this story. I was a Freshman at Va Tech. I was sitting in a movie theater by myself. I knew noone at that point. Suddenly I heard all this noise. I looked next to me and this guy had climbed over all these rows of seats to sit by me.
He had a GREAT big smile. I burst out laughing. We were friends on the spot. I lost track of him after Va Tech.
Fast forward a few decades. I was reading hyper local posts on Active Rain. The name Steve Bachman caught my eye. I thought no way because I called him Steven. Then I looked at the photo. Then I saw the RE/MAX balloon. Then I picked up the phone.
Things are back to normal. We are Facebook Friends. We are AR Friends. We are RE/MAX Associates. Do I need to mention that we attended the same Rain Camp Event but did not know all this yet? And when I relayed the Carole King story, he surrendered the photos on the spot with permission to post. Here is one of nine very special photos. Check his blog for more.
If I come back, it will be assuredly as a Golden Retriever. But this is a very close second.
