If I had to do my Southern Maryland Real Estate Career over again, I would...well, what would you do? What would you do if you had the chance to start your life over again? What would you change? I lost a childhood classmate this week. Her name was Claudia Clanton. We attended both Wroxeter and Severn together for a six year range. When I recieved the Facebook note from the Severn Alumni Director late at night this week while working, it knocked me right on the floor. I could transport myself forty years back and see Claudia clear as day with a big grin and a hockey stick. I never had a cross word with her. I can see her in the yellow Wroxeter Spring Uniform, too. I remember the time we all got together and went to Breezy Point to ride bikes. What I noticed most in her obituary was that she was a traveler. That she may have died young but the she really lived the years. That I got a sense from the sign in book that she lived her life after I saw her much like the six years that we crossed paths as classmates. She has been on my mind a lot lately so this has sparked my thoughts about what would I do if I lived my life over. That, however, is a post for a different venue, so I will focus on this Real Estate Blog about what I would do if I did my 25 year Southern Maryland Real estate career over.
If I had to do my Southern Maryland Real Estate Career over again, I would...have started day one with technolgoy systems. Because 25 years ago, this was not an option. I love new tech tools and systems and that is a highlight of how I choose to run my RE/MAX 100 business in Southern Maryland. I am one of the first responders to the NEW tech products and love to share the ideas of what new tech tools are working in my Southern Maryland Real Estate Business.
If I had to do my Southern Real Estate Career over again, I would...have stayed in even better contact with the people whom I sold homes. Granted, I have done mailers but I would have done even more to stay in touch. Kind of like Claudia. I wish I had seen her more since we crossed paths as schoolmates. She was a genuinely good person and I'm glad she was a part of the landscape of my life. They are holding a Memorial to Celebrate her Life this weekend and it is certainly one to celebrate...starting from childhood hockey games and yellow dresses and bike rides by the Chesapeake Bay. Rest in peace, Claudia.
