This week I am checking out Instagr.am and Hootsuite iPAD and iPhone apps. I always have project. I like to test the learning limits. So there is always something on my project radar list. Actually I keep a Project list for just this. I read about Realtor tech tool or observe something cool and it gets added. My list would scare you because most of the time it scares me. It is my crossword puzzle of the day.
The first few months of being a DELIRIOUS iPad user I was mostly learning the ropes and investigating best apps lists to select a bunch of apps that would be useful as a Southern Maryland Realtor. Now I am down to brass tacks and one by one using them as I need them.
So when I saw Instagr.am a few times on @JanieC , my Social Networking Mentor of several years, Facebook and Twitter account, I figured I better put on a new set of running shoes and see what was up. Forewarned is forearmed by the way. If you follow this Coral Gables Florida Agent stock up on running shoes because @JanieC aka Janie Coffey is who I watch to learn the latest and greatest Realtor stuff.
Anyway, when I saw the Clydesdale horse at Nicks in Prince Frederick MD and pulled out my camera with the dead battery, I wish I had know about Instagram. It is a FREE app that lets you send a photo from your iphone, choose a filter to alter the look and feel of the photo, and then allows you to send it to either Twitter, Facebook, or Flickr. Next time I won't miss that horse opportunity!
The second app I have focused on is Hootsuite. I attended a Realtor.com seminar with @TechSavvy as the Guest speaker. I got lots of notes and the funny thing is what stuck with me was his love of Twitter and his rampant use of Hootsuite.
Now my research was good enough the last few months that both apps were already installed... much to my surprise. The difference is they rose to the top as which ones to learn.
I have also become a big advocate of Evernote which allows you to take seminar notes and post them on all your devices without doing a thing. I noticed a post by Cindy Jones on Active Rain about it and got really curious to check out her note writing tool. There is a big clue here that I am attending the Google Academy so guess where you might find some good cloud computing and Google Product notes? Check back for more ideas!
