Mission Accomplished on the Towel Project! When I say I am a Realtor that does not quit, here is a sample of that kind of behavior when it came to my Towel Mission this past week. My towels are shot as in ready for the rag pile. I have show towels and USE towels. The USE towels are almost past the rag pile standards if you get the drift. I figured it is White Sale time so get new towels for show and demote the show towels to USE towels.
Sounds simple? Yep, until I learned that Royal Velvet towels, my lifetime standby towels, are not to be found. You may also know that after ten years of retail furniture sales prior to this career, I lost my love of shopping. I wish that would work for chocolate but let me not digress. I needed towels so off I went. Went... as in three big department stores in the Mall, JCPenneys, Sears, KMart, Walmart, Target, Marshalls, Burlington, and I am sure a few more. I finally made one of my last stops, after a few days of this, at TJ MAXX. Save the best for last. They had last years pastel kind of colors as thick and as big as Royal Velvet towels.
I could have quit because shopping is not my thing. Have internet will travel... but Royal Velvet Towels were not there either. So there's a splash of Spring color at Mosquito Gulch this Winter and the towels are not Royal Velvet, but they are pretty royal looking to me. P.S. Ralph Lauren at seven bucks, too. Not bad!
