Rainy Days are Catch Up and Tech Days in Southern Maryland! It looks like a Rainy day Thursday. Even if it turns out sunny, I have a lot of paperwork catchup and tech stuff to do. I just might see a hint of sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay so I better cover all the bases on this weather prediction.
I am going to finish bringing my data over from the old Agent Office to the new Personal Edition version which will synch with the new Verizon iphone coming to town in a few months. I also need to set up my currrent old Treo phone to synch until this happens as another morning project. Then I have to get the mifi set up so an ipad will work. I am getting ready to get ready but the NEWS that Verizon is unleashing the ipad next Thursday and the understanding that the iphone rumors are more than rumors affected my database choices big time. I always use 8i in the background for CMA's etc, but I like having my data in my control. Whomever owns your data owns you is my perspective when you run a business.
Next I have to catch up from a selling flurry so that means I have a paperwork flurry as in STACKS. I have to plow through that and then tackle Quickbooks. Running a small business is part tech, part sales, part accounting, part marketing and part of a bit of everything. There are lots of hats and lots to do!
