One thing I do every December around the Holidays or every July around Family Vacations is a Computer Camp. By that I mean I CAMP out at the Computer and load a new laptop, run scans and diagnostics and basically house clean my computer or just get all the programs up to snuff. I already loaded and reloaded my laptops recently during my Queen of Crash Adventures so this July I am instead double checking that all the newly loaded programs are operational everywhere.
I am also moving my main iTunes library to my NEW Mac and off the older recently reloaded PC. I have all my Brinton, Buffini, RE/MAX Conventon, CRS Convention and Realtor Educational CD's stashed there. I need all that safe and sound for my iPAD and iPOD mobility. I also want to be ready for the FALL Apple iCLOUD debut.
I realized I want my iTUNES Library on the new MAC because with the Three Year Apple Protection Plan for my new Mac, this means SERVICE. So today I am on Tech Help Calls moving my Music and Real Estate Educational Library.
Drum Roll... here's my Realtor List of PC versus Mac Programs to run a Real Estate Business. I am double checking that these programs are operational on the laptops and that iTunes is organized and ready and SAFE on the new MAC before the iCLOUD hits.
Let it be said that while everyone is at "Camp Maryland's Eastern Shore on the Ocean" I am at "Camp Computer Crash Not Going to Happen Anytime Soon if Cheryl Can Help It." And if it does, I am backed up and re backed up and ready to pivot my chair to the next computer to keep on working for my clients. And if that does not work, I have hard drives stashed away as duplicates ready to inset back in the laptops. One of my hard drives that crashed was just a few months old. I lost no data but the time to reload a laptop is extensive. Enough said.
I am a Plan C Person. The Plan C ( C as in Cheryl) means I blow up Plan A, blow past Plan B, and then what happens to Plan C as in Cheryl? Plan C always comes through for me.
Anyway, what are the iCONS on your Realtor Desktop and in your Control Panel? What are the PC and Mac Programs you cannot do without? Here are mine as I start Computer Camp with the Chesapeake Bay, YEAH, but no Ocean nearby!
