RE/MAX Channel now offered on the Roku! Well, I had to do it. I had to order the Roku even though I set up the Samusng BlueRay Wireless Netflix enabled DVD Player at Christmas. Why? Because effective the end of April, the decade plus RE/MAX Satellite Network that offers all of our classes and educational videos is off the air. THUD. Big uh oh. I really use and like this tremendously, so off to the races am I to continue receiving my real estate training at Mosquito Gulch, my home off the Chesapeake Bay. So here's my say about the new Roku for RE/MAX Training.
RE/MAX Channel now offered on the Roku! It arrived yesterday after a week or so....so dead tired late last night after writing an offer, I set it up. Now that is saying a lot because when that tired I should not be learning any tech thing. But that gives you insight into how easy they made what might be a complicated thing. I could not use the HDMI slot because there is just one. This slot has the best reception but I am reserving that for my BlueRay DVD movies. I was prepared for reduced clarity using the component slots but hardly noticed a thing. The process went smoothly and my tech savy nephew would have saluted my progress if he had watched me. Actually, he would have gone THUD next.
RE/MAX Channel now offered on the Roku! I used the code and video on Mainstreet for the set up process. I then became fascinated and see why RE/MAX made the switch. There's no $5 monthly charge. It's free and your laptop can accomplish the same thing. But the Roku offers Amazon on Demand that I did not notice on the Samsung. This on demand movie channel offers thousands of movies for roughly under $5 whcih is a savings over the Dish price. Plus the Roku had Pandora, Internet Radio Channels of your favorite Artists, and several very cool channels that let you watch your social networking channels on the big screen. I do not recall seeing YouTube like I did on the Samsung. But the Roku offered more sites like Flickr. The Roku has more channels but does not offer the DVD player as featured ont he Samsung.
So I have two products doing one thing which is a lot like the Database Managment situation I have had over the years. One product does one thing great and the other does another thing great so you figure out the balance.
RE/MAX Channel now offered on the Roku! My overall reaction was amazement. A, that I set it up with no tech help while exhausted. B, that the RE/MAX Channel offer ssssoooooo much stuff, C that this is for Cheryl for sure. I love all the unique channels and am having fun exploring what each of the sixteen plus Roku channels all do for you!
