RE/MAX Convention Opening Session Highlights that I enjoy most each year are when Gail Liniger updates us on agent stats for the across the world RE/MAX organization. That is always my favorite part. Even when I make up my mind that the CMN presentation won't choke me up this year, they do every year! We put a lot of effort into the CMN cause and also into Komen. You will start hearning about our Southern Maryland Komen Boardwalkathon scheduled the end of September in a few more months. I also was engrossed by the banter between James Carvelle and his wife, Mary Matelin. The arrived on stage to the tune of the Sinatra song, "Love and Marriage." It was absorbing to listen to them. Dave Liniger focused a great deal on the power of attitude. He brought Howard Brinton on stage to cheers and applause. Dave Liniger also discussed some of the motivational books he read while recuperating from knee surgery. He selected Warren Buffet and Ted Turner's books along with a reread of "Think and Grow Rich." I was intrigued by his list of books and CD's and realized he is also a voracious reader.
RE/MAX Convention Opening Session Highlights at the top of my favorite list would also be the announcment that RSN will be defunct the end of April. I have relied on RSN for years for all the educational classes to be streamed into my home office. In it's place will be a Roku. I checked Roku out after watching the demonstration in the Opening Session. It allows Netflix and Pandora PLUS Amazon on Demand and get this, a whole RE/MAX Channel. This can also be obtained via iphone and laptop. It holds your place if you have to run out for a meeting. It will have over a thousand shows and seminars on demand and no longer hog up my space on a DVR. And it's free other than the initial $149 with cords and shipping included.
RE/MAX Convention Opening Session Highlights...did you go and what were your favorite parts? I am going to get some of the sessions on CD from Mac Productions. I heard Buffini was great this morning, too. Next year it will be held in San Diego. I hope the Elvis Cirque du Soleil will still be there. I think Celine is coming back. And there's Ben and Jerry's and Emeril's right in the MGM. Guess where I want to be this time next year? And no way no how would I miss the Toby Keith Restaurant. You can take the giril out of the country but not the country out of the girl.
You'll Retrieve Golden Results with Cheryl Ritchie, RE/MAX 100, for all your Southern Maryland Real Estate Services. Where is Southern Maryland? It's about an hour outside of Washington, D.C. and the place to be when you want to live near D.C. It's about an hour or so from Annapolis and Baltimore also! It's barns and beaches and Chesapeake Bay (plus Golden Retrievers) and a place you'll want to stay.
