New Years Day...I went shopping at HOME today and hey, it was wonderful to stay and shop the day right here. I needed some office supplies. I needed dirt cheap calenders of Golden Retrievers. Plus, I like a few Mary Englebrite calendars thrown in the mix. I needed to find out where to purchase Keurig Single Cup Coffee K Cups. Guess what, I found them right at Staples.com while ordering my ink. I needed to get plugs for my GPS and Flip video. Amazon had one and Garmin had the other.
Somehow I was headed out the door and then didn't. I started comparison shopping on line. I even looked for sale Golden Retriever Christmas Cards for next year. I shopped til I dropped. But this way, I had Riley Rover snoozing at my side, I got a chance for some chill time, and all the supplies are coming right after the weekend. Now that is my kind of shopping. And the Starbucks stop I missed today? Well, I sampled a few new K Cups for my Keurig Coffee Maker. But I know the Outlets missed me. This way, however, I stayed focused on business supplies. Well. let me go check the Eddie Bauer site just in case because it's never too late.

The 300,000 Point Active Rain Destination...the Three Million Point Active Rain Lessons Learned Detour...So what have I learned in terms of the quote that life is not the train station, it is the train ride? It is not the 300,000 Active Rain points marker I will cross soon, but the stops along the way? Yep, that is moral of the story that this Southern Maryland Realtor on the Run has learned over and over again.
I would say the detours are like Oprah's quote that she could be a better Oprah than a Barbara Walters. I have picked up my own voice. Tonight I wrote a post about recent events as a Southern Maryland Realtor on the Run. Son of a gun, I cannot believe the comments rolling in on this "Life can Change on a Dime" post.
I would say that there are some cool folks out in Rainville. I have met Janie Coffey and a host of other bloggers that make me chuckle, think, ponder, and stretch my point of view. All because of you!
I have to mention the mind stretching tech tools and products and tutorials that keep me on my Southern Maryland toes. When you read and comment on ten or so posts a day, get ready to pay it forward with what you have learned or experienced, too.

Facebook Favorites from a Southern Maryland Realtor on the Run...Some of my favorite Facebook concepts are the hidden groups you can create. I have one for my Severn classmates, one for my Levitz Associates, one for my family, one for my Beach childhood friends and now one for my friend "E" who was diagnosed with Cancer a few weeks ago. I like to be able to share photos and comments with each of these special groups.
Facebook Favorites from a Southern Maryland Realtor on the Run...I do my blogging and social networking the very end of the day so it is time limited. It's fun work but also comfortable work at the end of a long day. I get a chuckle out of many of the comments and forgot the pre Facebook era already. I enjoy the photos and quotes and th familiar glimpses into the days of Facebook Friends.
