It took a while to realize it was an Earthquake in Southern MARYLAND!
I was coming out of Panera yesterday with iced tea in hand ready to jump into OLD BLUE.
Old BLUE has moments of true beauty and when the Jeep is in the shop she has a real glow.
So I got in the car and then it started bouncing up and down like when you were a kid and one of your friends pushed up and down on the trunk to get your attention.
I figured one of my friends was messing with me and Old Blue so I got out of the car and walked all around.
Noone. Then I realized with horror that someone was locked in my trunk and trying to get out. OMG, how had they survived the heat? So I opened the trunk fully expecting it to be some kind of crime scene. No one. Nothing. Empty trunk.
Well obviously one of my friends was underneath OLD BLUE. Nope, nada.
By then I was hoping no one was watching me because I knew I was acting way weird.
Darn, I looked up and saw all these people outside of Office Depot in Prince Frederick MD. WOW, I needed to check out that sale PRONTO if that many people were waiting in line to get inside.
On second thought, I decided to skedaddle to the Prince Frederick MD Starbucks and use my treat receipt for the 2 Buck after 2PM bonus drink when you are at Starbucks in Southern Maryland twice in a given day.
Boy, the Prince Frederick MD Library must have gotten some really good shipments of books in the huge truck that was parked to unload because there were lots of folks waiting outside to get inside there, too. Reading in important in Southern Maryland, you bet.
Finally I ran into Starbucks and one of my Realtor friends walked out and for the first time I got it. Okay, okay he told me. No sale, no prank, no book shipment and thank goodness no supernatural event because I conveniently glossed right over that entire thought process.
So did I go in and get my Starbucks Frap? Yep, and took one cup over to Dear Old Dad at his office. He wasted no time what so ever packing up his stuff and going back home.
Southern Maryland Earthquake? Once is enough. Aftershock? Grab your FRAP and BEBOP back home just in case! No stopping for sales or anything like that!
