The Best Gifts of all can sometimes just be TIME....Doesn't that say it all?
Every Christmas for as long as I remember, I have all my friends and family and neighbors and clients and coworkers over the first Friday in December for my Annual Wreath making dinner party. It's my way of bringing the basics of the Holiday to my home. We all spend time together making wreaths. We talk about it all year. Everyone brings a dish and a sheet with items to share. There are piles and piles of magnolia, pine cuttings, berries, dried grasses...you name it. It is my signature event and it puts the Holidays in perspective for me each and every year. It takes ten days to cook, clean, prepare, shop and be bop around Southern Maryland. But it is my quality time with everyone special right during the hustle bustle of the Holidays.
Then I will make apple pies for my neighbors. Let me tell you, right around tomato crop harvest time I am one happy, happy camper my Neighbor and I have this arrangement in place.
Then I have a shutterfly.com coupon where I can make a special photo gift for my folks. They will love it because it will probably focus on Sport and the Grand kids.
Then I will drop off Holiday Breads here and there for a Santa Surprise. I have found the coolest bakery in Annapolis MD called Harvest Bread. Yum, yum, yum.
Then I will give an ipad demo or two after blabbing here and there and everywhere about it. I better have Gotomeeting.com rev ed up to be ready for an Active Rain blogger or two phone call.
