Three weeks later the Bank will not give a payoff for a CASH contract after incessant DAILY attempts...Ideas?
So imagine my consternation when a company, purportedly hired by Fannie Mae, called today to to winterize the home and find out if the home was vacant.
HUH?
How about the repeated death notices faxed, the phone calls and faxes 2-4 times per DAY for the third week in a row , the repeated faxes with the Executor permission signature, and the repeated and endless promises that a payoff will be provided?
Oh, I left some things off. There is one foot of standing water, rapidly escalating mold damage, pipes about to freeze, a penniless estate, a possible but uncertain short sale, potential looming foreclosure and an easement problem.
All in the day of a Southern Maryland Realtor.
Think they could return one of the DOZENS of calls and FAXES to get this CASH Contract accepted?
Nope, but the company hired by Fannie Mae to winterize did call after who knows how many faxed Death Certificate Notices to see if the home was vacant.
Here's how it was left. I asked for proof of who he was to contact the Executor. He said that he would not winterize but would send a report back that that home was vacant plus put a a message in the report that the Estate Attorney was trying to get a payoff for a CASH contract.
GOT IDEAS? Yep, got problem and there is a solution I have not found yet. YET.
