What a DEER (Dear!) Sight in Southern Maryland Yesterday!
I was heading up Route 2 yesterday to show a home in Turkey Point in the Mayo and Edgewater area outside of Annapolis MD when something made me take a double look.
I live in Northern Calvert County which is an hour outside of D.C. Translated that means without traffic I could be driving by the White House in about an hour or Inner Harbor in Baltimore in about the same time. Annapolis? I can buzz there in just over half an hour. When your live in the Country, that is a cake walk to get to good shopping and Southern Maryland FUN.
So it was one of those PERFECT days that you want to clone. No humidity. Sunny. Bright. A true weather delight.
Anyway, I looked over at this field of auburn colored wheat looking something or another type of grasses swaying in the gentle breezes. It was a HUGE Golden colored field. Route 2 is a true beauty to drive any day of the year and especially on a day like this.
Then I did a double take. Yep, this is what I saw.
In the middle of this weather perfect day in the middle of this bucolic setting was a DEER, sitting like a Queen on a throne, soaking in the rays and enjoying her day in the SUN. Wait to come out at DUSK and miss this kind of day? No Way! Anyway, it made my day!
What a DEER (Dear!) Sight in Southern Maryland Yesterday! If I had my way, I would have gone right back and perched along beside her. What a BEAUTIFUL Day and what a DEAR, DEER sight to see in Southern Maryland.
