What do you do in Southern Maryland when you lock your keys in the car?
Nope, not telling who did it. But I was present and accounted for is the only tip you will get out of me.
My trusty iPAD was working so I could brainstorm all kinds of ideas. Anyway, I got the iPhone humming.
Called AAA but you pay for the help then pay for the year of service.
Not much of an incentive there.
Called Pop a Lock but they are more Baltimore based.
Called a local locksmith but that was pricey.
Called the Fire Department and Valvoline but nope they did not have the Slim Jim tool.
Thought about calling the Police but figured that would not work either. Doubt they carry the tool.
Thought about calling the Insurance Company but figured there was a better solution.
Not a hanger anywhere.
Picked up a nine dollar tool at Advanced Auto Parts but the YouTube Video explained the tool only worked for old fashioned vehicle locks.
Pop a Lock suggested a local towing company. Yep, Chip 's Towing was there in fifteen minutes and the keys were retrieved in about ten.
Nope, not going to confess but YES I am glad the keys are in hand. Thanks Chip's Towing. They had the coolest blow up hand gadget to break and enter.
Riley Rover had a grand time with all the excitement.
Nope, he won't tell either so don't even try.
Next time you lock your keys in the car, let's hope these ideas I've run by you get you back on your route!
P.S. Remember to submit your receipt to your Insurance Company just in case! Cover your bases with spare wallet keys, magnetic key boxes, AAA yearly subscription, or....what are your other ideas?
