What have I learned Month One of a PC to Mac Conversion?
Get Apple Support for three years plus the One on One so they bring over all your data.
It takes a weekend to then add all your extra programs like Parallels, Windows 7, Office etc.
It takes a weekend to figure out how to do everything you speed demon your way through on a PC but need to find out the equivalent steps on a MAC. I keep a list of questions on Evernote and then call Apple Care for a run down.
I have really put the petal to the metal this weekend when I decided to do every single step of processing two new listings from A to Z on a Mac. A whole lot of tech questions and hair pulling sessions later, I am getting the hang of this live in two worlds computer stuff.
My favorite discoveries? The Mac for Dummies book is keeping me afloat. I also found a shortcuts list of command prompts on the Apple site.
Back to entering the new Southrn Maryland listings!
Big Disappointment? Tour Factory does not work on a MAC. As a Southern Maryland Realtor, we recently have been able to do contracts and use MLS on a MAC. That means Realtors are no longer tethered to PC's...i.e. the video and photo capabilities of a MAC can no be tapped! Many laptop crashes later this past year, I say Hail Apple to that!
