It was a Southern Maryland Double Rainbow over the Chesapeake Bay Kind of Day.
Sometimes you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
Let me start at the beginning. I spent the week learning how to take photos on my iPhone and transfer them to my laptop. On the first few iphone photos, oops, I pressed the wrong button so my first iphone local photos post came up empty handed with a Big Uh Oh missing interloper, tresspasser, vagrant i.e. baby frog photo to share. I sputtered, I muttered, I cussed and I fussed my way through the whole week. But more hours in to this Southern Maryland iphone photos project than I want to admit now or anytime soon or maybe EVER, by the end of the week, I had the iPhone Realtor Camera on the go ready to shoot and show.
Anyway, I ran in to Crab Truck Roxy while out and about shooting Southern Md photos. She mentioned she would have her crab truck at the Farmers Market Friday night down by Fifth Street at the North Beach MD Boardwalk. I started licking my Old Bay ready chops for this. But book some time for Crab Truck Roxy 's Crabs? How fast can this Southern Maryland Gal say yes to a pile of spiced just right Roxy's crabs? Let me tell you, it took no encouragement at all for me to decide to go to one of the last Farmer's Markets of the year with plans to get some hot Old Bay Spicy Crabs on the way to go.
It was drizzling and I could not see Roxy's truck so I walked past the vegetable stands and the homemade bread tables and the local wine cart to the Boardwalk and the Chesapeake Bay. All of a sudden the sun broke thru the drizzle and I grabbed my iPhone to capture the colors of the Beach and the Boardwalk and the Bay.
I was wondering if there would be a rainbow. Well yes, but instead of one rainbow there were two. It was a Southern Maryland Double Rainbow over the Chesapeake Bay Kind of Day. Again, sometimes you are just where you are supposed to be. Also, if I had not spent the week learning how to use the iphone camera I would not have been ready to share the beauty of Southern Maryland or the beauty of the moment with you, too.
Meanwhile, as the rainbows faded, I walked back and peeked at the vegetables and found Roxy's crab truck. She cooked me several bags of hot steamed crabs to go. Woaaahhhhh, were they good! I picked my way through a mess of crabs for hours and enjoyed Riley Rover who got in on the action, too, and snoozed right by my feet.
It was a Southern Maryland Double Rainbow over the Chesapeake Bay Kind of Day. Roxy's crabs are " stop in your tracks unbelievable" and I have a spectacular Southern Maryland Nature Show Double Rainbows over the Chesapeake Bay Photo Series to share with you. Sometimes you are just where you are supposed to be. Southern Maryland, a good dog, and a spot by the Chesapeake Bay for steamed crabs will always be that place for me.
