You know you're in Calvert County in Southern Maryland when.....

You ride down the highway and the copilot is frequently, you guessed it, a dog. But after 25 years of Golden Retrievers in my Southern Maryland Real Estate ads, I get BIG smiles when I go by in the Jeep with one of my Goldens. Or kids point and wave. This week, I was at an intersection in Prince Frederick on one of my Starbucks and Panera runs  and I looked over and there was a dog in the man's lap next to me and that dog was flirting with Riley Rover. It sure looked that way to me. Everyone was laughing.

You also  know you're in Calvert County in Southern Maryland when.....

I needed to talk to another agent and she needed to talk to me on Tuesday House Tour. But you need to know first that Riley Rover is not going to give up his front Jeep seat. So, no questions asked, Susan hopped in the back and we yacked and yacked about some business we needed to cover. And if that isn't enough, she sprang for Starbucks! Not one person on Tour even commented on the Golden seating arrangement. You know you're in Calvert County in Southern Maryland when.....this is just a regular day by the Chesapeake Bay.

You know you're in Calvert County in Southern Maryland when.....

You're sitting by the Chesapeake Bay at one of the two stoplights in the Town of Chesapeake Beach, the light turns green and noone, absolutely noone, can be seen moving. No horns, no impatience, just the sounds of silence. Why? Because there is a gaggle of geese walking from the Bay side of the Road to the Marina side  of the road and this gaggle is in charge of the traffic system in the Chesapeake Beach Bayside Town  that's just an hour outside Washington, D.C. It's an amusing, respectful, and charming moment on the Chesapeake Bay. When the Gaggle  have finished their daily sojurn across the intersection, all the passerbys all have big smiles on their faces. Come visit the town of Chesapeake Beach and North Beach in Southern Maryland for this first of many "you'll know you're in Calvert County in Southern Maryland when....moments"

And you betcha it will put a smile on your faces..this and many other moments you will have by the Beach and on our Boardwalks.
