What Every Realtor should have in their wallet!

Okay, let 's start with Real Estate License and NAR NRDS number.

Then let's add lockbox card if you use that method in your Marketplace.

Then let's add in the ICE numbers for safety. This means in case of emergency. 

While you are at it, enter ICE on your iPad or iPhone as a contact. 

Enter the important phone numbers or people who should be contacted in case of emergency.

Then add the other info above and below this line under your contact notes and under ICE , too.

Now we are at the big point I want to make.

Stop, look, and listen. 

Write down your meds, your allergies, and if you have heart issues, put a copy of your EKG.

Because you just may not be able to talk. Or your loved ones may not know the answers. Or an emergency worker may need the info NOW.

#Just Sayin you might want to stop, look, and listen to what every Realtor should have in their wallet.

Easy Screensharing Tips via Google Hangout to Use with Clients or Bloggers or Buds , Family and Pals  a la Realtor Style!

First step is make sure you have your Gmail password and can access GMail.  There are two drop down tabs at the top of your Gmail account that allow you to easily access Google Plus. Or go directly there at plus.google.com. I better recheck that url because it has been easiest for me to access via Gmail.com lately since I am beta testing the new 8i mobile integration with Gmail.

Anyway, with codes in hand, use the drop downs to get in Google Plus. Set up this account so your friends and family and Active Rain Blogger buds and pals and whomever are in the correct circles.

Hit the button on the bottom right to start a hangout. Then type in the person's name you want to screen share with on you tube, docs, and live video.

I have been testing Skype, Meeting Burner, Join.me etc. Fernando Herboso mentioned this product so he, Cindy Edwards and I all got aboard last night and watched  Fernando's awesome short sale videos and his PowerPoint Seller updates. I went to class and a productive business meeeting and never left the Beach.

Riley Rover did not have to spend the day alone either. One tip I learned was to press a button like you tube then press again to end that session.

I still have not figured out how to get the sound to work on my laptop through the speakers but I will google it and figure it out.

What I  liked best so far was that there was no need to set up. If someone is in your circle, presto, you can be on the go in a meeting right then and there.

I also liked that I could see videos of all three of us plus show YouTube in addition to Docs.

Free, easy, video views, doc views, YouTube sharing of business tools...go ahead and give this product a spin.

Then grin along with us because it is a Screensharing Win.

P.S. The only calamity was Cindy Edwards was cooking Salmom for dinner and I did not get my plate, too. Boo Hoo.

The Benefits of Cleaning out your Work Closet?

This is me talking to myself. Okay, you can listen.

No I do not like Paperwork. 

My Realtor Work closet looks like a CITY or Country early this Closet Clean Out Morn!

Out with the old files, in with the space for the new.

This also means ScanSnap has a job to do!

Since clutter means something does not have a HOME...

OUT with the desk paperwork mess and IN with the long standing Clean Desk Policy.

I remember where I put stuff. This is gratifying.

I realize I did a pretty good job doing this same time last year because it is not as bad as I thought.

Tax receipt drawer is ready to straighten and file so Spring is spent on Southern Maryland Sales.

Okay, straighten up the last year of files and get the SUCCESS Spreadsheet and Quickbooks Record Keeping Accounts READY for 2012.

When this project is completed later today, Yippee Skippee I have definitely earned a good walk by the Southern Maryland Bay.

Okay, Riley Rover, I am heading back to work on the  clean out the closet project. Enough grumbling done.

The New Beta 8i Mobile Integration with GMail ...Step by Step Instructions for you!

Okay, I am going to forget this plus it is going to take practice, practice, practice but here you go.

I am a beta tester for the 8i Top Producer new Mobile Product that integrates with GMail.

The bottom line is you can add contacts to 8i Top Producer from email or enter any new contact directly plus ultimately have the two databases remain in harmony. You can also add any email ,that you wish to attach to a contact record directly, from GMail to your 8i database.

This product enhancement will be released shortly so here are the Easy Sneak Preview steps.

Select the email from a new contact ...i.e. that is not in 8i. Open the email and to the right hit the drop down menu that lets you add it to contacts.

Then switch the screen in the top left corner from Mail to Contacts. Add any other info such as phone number or correct name to the saved email address in the new contact record.

Switch back to mail in the top left.

Select the email you want to save to 8i. Go to the top of the screen and select the drop down arrow that allows you to label the email Top Producer. Hit Apply.

Go to 8i in a new screen. Hit sync in the top of the screen if the entry was done under twenty minutes ago.

Go look up the contact. Eureka, it is there. Then go to the Activities tab and hit the complete drop down. Presto the email is also stashed there.

Just think, you can save emails with contracts attached. Or important docs.

And what is really cool is that you have your gmail contacts and 8i contacts sync and remain in harmony. YES!

Check out the new iPhone and iPad app called Smartr for a great Networking FUN Realtor Contact Tool!

I received an email yesterday that Xobni released a new free app called Smartr.

To say I did jumping jacks kind of sets the stage.

It was the one and only app I would search the iTunes store for consistently to discover if they would give me Xobni, which is Inbox spelled backwards, on my iPad and iPhone and in the Mac World.

Matter of fact, it was the one holdout on why I did not want to give up Outlook and move over to checking email on gmail at my desk. Yes, I tried Rapportive but Xobni gets my vote.

Well let me quit the somersaults and jumping jacks and explain what a cool tool this new SMartr app is for your Real Estate Business.

I have all my contacts on gmail. I am a beta tester for the Top Producer 8i Mobile Version so they  neatly coordinated all this as of last week. I was going to wait to test the upcoming Outlook 8i integration instead of the gmail integration but something made me reconsider. Anyway, for the past week I have been learning how to check email online, add contacts and email to gmail and PRESTO watch it all sync with the new upcoming 8i gmail integration  release. The whole process has gone off without a single solitary hitch. I will lead the round of applause big time for TP and Mobile 8i. 

Where Smartr comes in goes  like this. Smartr is a free FUN app that lets you bring in all your gmail, outlook, twitter, facebook and linked in contacts with a few buttons and set up changes. Large databases work. There are three tabs once you get past the scrolling photos of favorite peeps. One tab pulls every phone and every email from every source above, another  tab  shows all the emails between you and the contact listed below with a chart of the history of interaction. All joint contacts with this contact with this same wealth of info are also listed in a third tab. 

Tether free from your desk and able to grab contacts instantly works for me. This solves the dilemma of not having ALL your contacts accessible everywhere. I now have Outlook, GMail, Top Producer,Twitter, Facebook, Linked In folks anytime and anywhere for a quick email or call. Top Producer Mobile 8i remains my workhorse power tool database, but this as an add on via iTunes is allllll right !!

So I can maintain my database with action items and appointments coordinated on 8i just like I want to do. It is my work game plan.  But if I need to send a few Blogger pals an email this Morn to remind them of a 6pm screensharing Google Hangout test tonight, this email for contacts that are not entered yet in my database is a snap, crackle, pop. Hop aboard and down load Smartr for free for a cracking good contact add Realtor add on to your main stay Realtor Database. P. S. Xobni and Smartr now have an iPhone App! Zap that app on your iPAD FAST!

No wonder it has a five star rating already! You can get contact info, connections, history etc. on all your Peeps!

Check out the Inman Next Website after the New York Conference!

I watched the Inman Hashtags on Twitter and saw some cool Janie Coffey Instagram photos covering their New York Event last week so I got kind of curious and meandered over to the InmanNext website to see what was cooking.

I ended up doing lots of looking. There are gazoodles of interesting tech posts and industry tips. The bulk are free but there is a $50 membership fee for some of the articles marked Premium. 

I particularly enjoyed watching Dave Liniger receive his award. The  video on New Kids on the Block about start up top five products recognized by Inman was really extra neat.

Anyway, check out the Inman site. They have enough stuff to read and hear to keep you spinning with new Realtor ideas for hours.

Missed the Conference? Maybe, but not for long with all these great videos and posts!

What I Realtor learned this week since I was busy NOT posting about it a PEEP!

Okay, let me catch up and share what I learned.

Boy, a good Market Analysis takes a lot of focus and prep and research and TIME.

We earn our keep and what I know for sure is after studying, researching, and immersing myself in the numbers, some price just jeeps out at the very beginning, middle and end and that is the number to keep. 

The yearly Seller and Buyer Presentations take a week each year to review, tweak and post.

The year is off to a good Southern Maryland start. About half the agents in a crowded room raised their hands when asked if we have already had multiple contracts on listings to start off the year. Mine was up, too !

That catches you up on what has been up all week! Well, almost. Here is my cliff hanger.

Top Producer is letting me beta test their new upcoming gmail integration and suffice it to say I think it is really, really neat.

I knew I was up to a lot of Realtor projects and stuff to be SOoooooo quiet for a whole week! Catch my TWEETS when there are not many Peeps!
