Today's Tech Project became iGoogle after seeing a demonstration on the newest MRIS or MLS Website features this morning. That was fascinating to see the new interactive features plus to learn about the latest version of Settlement Express which is a Closing Estimator. But what also caught my attention is that the Instructor used iGoogle. Of course, anything Google or Twitter catches my attention, so I had to explore it. It can be set up as your home page plus customized with a graphic that personalizes it. I wanted a Golden Retriever Theme and I found some great ones. This page has news channels, the tv guide, maps, movie and music information, youtube videos of the day, and whatever you select as your main interests in the very first selection window or later when you want to add or change gadgets. It even has weather and time. Everything you need to know at a glance is on iGoogle. I try to tackle a Tech Project a day along with regular Real Estate Projects, so this was a great discovery. You find it on the www.google.com page in the top right corner. Just click iGoogle and then customize. While there, you may want to check into Google Voice and Google Wave!
I have not decided whether I want it as the home page, but it's a very strong possibility. I may have to explore more and find out if I can have blog feeds but that's looking good . I just found Twitter and Facebook feeds. Now that's cool! Tweetdeck rocks with the LinkedIn capability, but a Home Page with everything??? That's Golden Tech Results!

I love my Igoole page.
I have Twitter, Facebook apps on it, maps, friend feed.
It is so easy to use and you still have the Google Search.
Missy, going back to add Friend Feed. What else do you have on there. This is fun! Wish I had found it ages ago.
The folks at Google never cease to amaze me. I'll have to check this out!
Cheryl - I will have to check into this IGoogle thing. Sounds pretty awesome. By the way, love the dog pics. We have a fawn boxer that is almost 2 years old.
Troy, do you post a lot of tech stuff also? igoogle really is fun but is hogging too many resources to be left open a lot.
Cheryl, there is actually something better than Igoogle out there. Igoogle is great but you have to put everything on one page.
Check out Ijango - it's like an Iphone for your browser/home page. I just love mine.
Here's a blog that I wrote on it.

Ijango here I come! Gotta check this out if it is even kind of as good as igoogle.com!
Dear Cheryl,
Thank you for taking the time to share your igoogle tip. It looks like I will be using that as well thanks to your post.
I also had to say your picture is soooo adorable, I love it! Very cute. I wonder home many homes those puppies sell. - JK :)
Thanks, Mike! I think they earn their puppy chow in referrals!
