This "Song"...no this "Southern Maryland Place"... Remembers When....I like the concept of how a song can invoke a memory in a flash. But so do places. One of my friends treated me to a belated birthday breakfast at Traders in Chesapeake Beach the other day. You know when a small local place is packed all the time to hit the Jeep brakes and stake it out for some good eats. Let me tell you, they make a mean breakfast at Traders in Chesapeake Beach.
This "Song"...no this "Southern Maryland Place" ...Remembers When....For my friend, Traders reminded him of long ago when it was called Sea Breeze and his folks were alive and he would visit as a child. I had stonger memories of Chaney's Restuarant in Chesapeake Beach because they had something called Chutney Salad dressing . Forty years later I still think about it and remember how my Granparents would take our family there as a child. I also used to go there Sunday nights after working the Beach Gate during College Summers with my childhood friend Zan.
This "Song"...no this "Southern Maryland Place"... Remembers When....So it is not just songs, but the smell and sounds and sites of places that Remember When. And there are some beautiful places in Southern Maryland.

Well now I remember the taste of those unique and delicious "blue crabs" found in your place of Southern Maryland! It has been nearly 17 years since I went West to the end of the Santa Fe Trail after living in DC for a quarter of a century. However, I will never forget those "blue crabs."
I cannot imagine life without good Maryland Crabs on a lazy Summer Day in Southern Maryland. And a dog at your side!
