While I was taste testing at the Annapolis Tomato Festival at Homestead Gardens over the weekend, I picked up my first business card from a DOG. And darn , it was not my idea first. Theo is an assistance dog from Fidos for Freedom. You can reach this organization at www.fidosforfreedom.org or mail them at P.O. This organization has special trained hearing, therapy and service dogs...that have their own business cards, mind you, encased in plastic thanking the person who has inquired about them.
Hearing dogs alert their hard of hearing or deaf owners to significant sounds. Service dogs help with mobility. Therapy dogs are awesome companions in health care facilities and valuable contributors to helping provide a relaxed atmosphere for elementary school students to improve their reading skills.
