Southern Maryland Homes for Sale

The Computer Crash Queen Rises AGAIN!

The Computer Crash Queen Rises AGAIN! The hard drive crashed on my travel laptop. Then four, yes four NON networked laptops would not print. Then my work laptop was disconnected from the RE/MAX network since Symantec had not updated properly. So, the laptop death toll was FIVE.

I am coming back from the ashes. I am mailing my crashed laptop to HP to see if any life can be breathed in to it after a mere 18 months of use. I am reconnected to the RE/MAX Network and have that laptop working and printing. I have my cobweb ridden old travel laptop working on an emergency status. I have my three home laptops printing. It was a repair button under the Adobe Acrobat help button that needed to be run. Also, my newly updated Windows 7 laptop needs Adobe 9 or 10 to print hereon.  Adobe 8 is a no go. So all but the Windows 7 laptop are alive and kicking. This was laptop emergency room magic in Southern Maryland.

What's scary is that a two or three year old laptop is considered over the hill which means they can crash at will. Right when Verizon is about to launch the ipad next week I am facing these facts... wrapped in cinnamon and nutmeg... as in Apple? This many crash, bam, boom laptops later, I could handle some APPLE pie and a P.C . goodbye.

Cheryl, Oh, no! I hope you're up and running soon. I had a major computer crash last week. It was so bad that it couldn't be fixed remotely. Something came up that looked like Microsoft Essentials Software tool.  Locked up my desktop completely.  It must be going around.

Technology is great until it dies or gets sick!!!  When it does, it seems like everything comes to a grinding halt and we can't function.  It's amazing how far we have come.  I remember the old MLS books and organizing my mom's daytimer binder with all the listings she wanted.  We xeroxed, copied, cut, pasted hard copies all the time.  Took real photos and glued them to cardstock, that was a big deal!!!  Oh, the good ol days!!!

Glad your up and running again.  It's crazy how fast our tools are outdated!!!

So good to talk with you today.  I'm going to be cautious in the future when upgrading programs.  Glad you're up and running again.

Best of luck Cheryl. I have an Iphone and Ipad. When I get my next laptop, it will be a Mac.
