What's Cooking on Fourth of July at Mosquito Gulch?

What's Cooking on Fourth of July at Mosquito Gulch?

Nothing, absolutely nothing.

But Sunday July 3? Now that's a different story.

The Town of Chesapeake Beach has Fireworks over the Chesapeake Bay the evening BEFORE the Fourth every year.

By the way, Happy Fourth of July! Enjoy my Jacquie Lawson Card at

Anyway, every year I got in the habit of inviting my friends and family, clients and coworkers, neighbors etc. to my place from 6-9PM. I throw on a Ham, Potato Salad, Sodas etc. They bring Beach chairs, Beach Blankets, Bug Spray and a Special Dish to Share.

I look forward to it every year and enjoy the squeals of delight from the Beach and Boardwalk.

The Hams are on order at Rolands, my Folks are doing the Sodas, and Riley Rover and I are eager to greet everyone for the Hometown Festivities.

There's nothing like the Fourth at Home in the Beach. And there's nothing better than Fireworks over the Bay the day before!

Cheryl-

That sounds like a fun way to celebrate. Maybe you can post a video of some of the fireworks display. No fireworks down here due to the drought and the danger of fires. Only had five days of measurable rain so far this year. USA, USA.

Cheryl,   Sounds like the Town of Chesapeake Beach and the Fireworks over the Chesapeake Bay the evening before July 4th is the place to be.  What a great way to celebrate.  The card is fabulous.  Love it.  Happy 4th of July!

Awesome way to celebrate the day.  I plan to do nothing...absolutely  nothing...and that will be something for me!  Have a great time and a great second half of the year.

Cheryl: DO your dogs freak out when they hear fireworks? I've had some dogs that I cannot calm when they hear the noise.

Melissa, your comment is very valuable. Keep your beloved pets indoors.
