Have You Researched these IDX Vendors Lately? Diverse Solutions, IDX Broker or Wolfnet?

Have You Researched these IDX Vendors Lately? Diverse Solutions, IDX Broker or Wolfnet?

My Project of the Day was to Research IDX Vendors that can be used in  the D.C. MRIS Area. Here  is a list of some currently licensed third-party web site vendors:

  • Birdview - www.birdview.com
  • Homes.com - www.homes.com
  • IDX, Inc. - www.idxbroker.com
  • Listings to Go - www.listingstogo.com
  • Virtual Properties - www.virtualproperties.com
  • Team Where to Live - www.wheretolive.com
  • REALTOR.com - www.realtor.com
  • Property Minder - www.propertyminder.com
  • Wolfnet - www.wolfnettech.com
  • KMA Net - www.GoMethod.com
  • iHomefinders - www.iHomefinder.com
  • SOAR Solutions/HouseValues - www.soarsolutions.net
  • Top Producer Systems - www.topproducer.com
  • Atlas Agent Solutions - www.atlasagentsolutions.com
  • HouseHunt - www.househunt.com
  • Diverse Solutions - www.DiverseSolutions.com
  • Real Estate Webmasters - www.realestatewebmasters.com
  • Tiger Lead Solutions - tigerlead.com
  • RETS is also used to send data to service providers that sell services to our agents such as Supra for lockbox services and ShowingTime or Centralized Showing Service for appointment scheduling.
  • RETS also allows third party software developers, to gain secured access to the system, such as GoHome for their ActiveAgent product.

I then studied the vendors and noticed three really stood out to me. I have and use Wolfnet which just completed a major overhaul of its product in our area.

I also took a shine to IDX Broker. Here is a run down of their product. http://www.idxbroker.com/idx_broker.php?active=agents

I compared it to Diverse Solutions, Here is their run down http://www.diversesolutions.com/product/ds-search-agent/features.

Here is the Wolfnet Information: http://wolfnet.com/IDXProducts.cfm

I did not make a decision whether I want to stay or go right away. I mostly wanted to know options and these stood out to me.

Have YOU used the NEW Wolfnet or Diverse Solutions or IDX Broker and what are is your experiences or input?

Okay, go ahead and guess. Remember the old Cigarette Commerical with the theme " I would rather fight than switch?"  Did  I end the all day project with a black eye, with a new IDX, or with an altogether different decision? Let me hear your thoughts first on your IDX Preferred Provider.

I currently use Diverse Solutions.

Hi Cheryl - thank you for posting your research... it's well timed! I've become buried in all the options out there, and it helps to see what others are looking at too.

Thanks, Cindy. I called Rick Iarossi after my research and he spent a long time explaining his use of Diverse solutions also. Then I scouted after your comment. You, Deb Maxwell, Renee Burrows and the list gets long of who uses Diverse Solutions. RE /MAX agents who could use Reliance in their regions like Dixie or New Jersey use Reliance. This took a whole day of investigation but it is what I am going to base my decisions around.

Hi Cheryl,  I just upgraded my Wolfnet but am not totally familiar with it yet.

Timely post!  I've been looking at Diverse and IDX Broker lately.  I've used Wolfnet in the past and didn't think it was all that great.  I've heard about Diverse having some indexing problems lately from long time users.  Their cusotmer service is terrible too.  I'm leaning towards IDX Broker right now.

I currently use Diverse Solutions also.  I am looking into about 10-15 different solutions as I am having feed & indexing issues with them.  Their customer service is not exactly stellar.  They ignore requests or make stuff up when you have questions or issues.

If we ignored issues like they did in our field we would be losing transactions left and right and never close anything :)

Hi Cheryl~ I contacted IDX Broker and Diverse Solutions today to get information about their "Dynamic Title Tags". DS places the address/street/city/state in the address bar, but IDX Broker does not...yet, but the page title does carry the address, which is the needed feature I am interested in adding. I was told that a new IDX Broker version is in the works for the end of the year that may include the address feature.  IDX Broker can be added to most existing websites, which is a big plus, but Diverse Solutions is only for a WordPress site to get the indexing feature. I am happy to discover that I can boost my Reliance product with another stream of lead capture and SEO.

I just signed up with iHomeFinder yesterday (went live) and was in the process of putting it on one of my sites. I had some questions - emailed their tech support lastnight and this morning to NO answers. Emailed the sales rep - said if I can not talk with someone by 11am to cancel my acctt. So just before 11 someone calls - was very nice - helpful - so I got my questions answered  - then I had a few more as I could not move forward till I figured some things out and needed some direction again.

I emailed - called - NO response - waited around 4 hours - then emailed the sales rep and requested that he cancel my account. Not long after that he responds with OK!  - WHY couldn't tech support get back to me that quick??

Anyway their support is terrible!

I was rethinking what to do about IDX integration into my blogging and came across this post.  I checked out your website ... it looks like you switched from wolfnet.com to diversesolutions.com ... I like the integration that you've got from diverse.  But, I'm very interested in learning from you how to integrate community (aka sub-division) level information onto a landing page.  I've been thinking about wolfnet ... but now I don't know.

Let's talk sometime.

Does anyone have any updates on these products? what about Spatial Match or Property Minder? I'm ready for IDX and website changes. I'm looking for responsive support, reasonable prices, with a user-friendly and attractive IDX home search. Love to hear what others are using and your overall experience with the IDX company's service and your clients' feedback. thanks!

Run from IDXBRoker....I asked numerous specific questions and then when I signed up for the product it was not what they said it was. When I immediately within days asked to cancel and get a credit back this was their response.

Mr. Schafer,

Unfortunately a refund for these services you requested that have already been delivered per your request is not available.  I am sorry that you did not clearly understand how our services are delivered prior to requesting services from us.  We make every effort to make the process very clear both online and with our sales staff.  Please also note that you have agreed to the terms and conditions upon signing up for our services and that you could be responsible for additional charges if you submit a chargeback request with your credit card company.  I am sorry that you didn't feel as though our services were adequate for your specific needs, but we do wish you the best of success moving forward.

Best regards,

Chad

Thanks for your blog post, Cheryl Ritchie.  I am in the process of switching from FlexIDX for Wordpress to Diverse Solutions. The FlexIDX for Wordpress worked but I didn't think the user eperience on the FlexIDX was very good. I am now making the switch to Diverse Solutions.  Glad to hear you had no regrets.

I have been following your for some time. I love your Goldern Retrievers as I do my Aussie.
