There is also the doubt that you plant in the mind of the client as to why you moved offices.

There you go, always helping others as you learn. Even the stress of a move and you are still sharing.

Don't forget to change your information/ listings with your MLS and order new business cards.

Hi Cheryl.  We have to let our state licensing board know our new office.

Making arrangements to switch their listings is a challenge here, although the broker owns the listings and most (all that I know of) keep them, I don't because I think it is about the reltionship with the agent as well as the customer and I always want that to be the best it can be.

It depends on state and a company. I changed brokers few times, usually it is easy but time consuming. Some brokers have a special rep to assist you to do everything fast and they even offer you new signs, business cards, new web-presence, announcement cards, etc. Otherwise, you need to get a list from the office and just follow every step.

I received today a great offer to join another broker. I'll probably move, but thinking about all those forms, signs, cards, online changes~ will take so much time...

Cheryl, I just switched brokerages and your list - although I'm late to this post! - has been helpful.  I forgot about my VM.  Thank you!
